Guess what? I am going to build a house someday! I have never built a home before, and I am not sure where to begin. The thought of this intimidates me, but I will not let fear stop me.
I need to learn all I can about how to build a house. The very first place I will look will be on the Internet. I can log on just about anywhere and find just about anything, including the steps involved in building a new home.
There are even a few home builders in Champaign, ll., that market their businesses on the Web. If I fall in love with a home and a local builder that I have seen online, I will choose that company when I am ready to build. Home builders that advertise on the Internet are very smart because they know where their next customer is searching. Are you one of them?
The Web is definitely the place where I will go to begin my research on the home-building process, and learn about my local options. And apparently, I am not alone…
According to the National Association of Realtors:
90% of people use the Internet during the home buying process.
A lot of people use the Internet, but there is even more! Check out these fun facts:
There are 2,405,518,376 Internet users around the world
This number has grown by 566% since the year 2000
78.6% of the population in North America use the internet
Eight people begin using the Web every second
This is pretty interesting stuff! See TheCultureist.com for more fascinating information.
And if these statistics aren’t enough to get your attention; according to research by Pew Internet, 58% of American adults own a smartphone!
What does all this mean for the building industry? Not only is the use of the Internet increasing, but now we have the ability to search for home builders wherever we are, anytime- just by using our cell phones to log onto the Web. Our cell phones for goodness sake! The Internet is definitely the place to be!
If you are a home builder, your company should be advertising online!
