Education moved into Woodforest in 2014 when the Conroe Independent School District opened a campus in the community, Stewart Elementary, that serves kindergarten through sixth grades. Woodforest also is served by the Montgomery Independent School District, including the new Oak Hills Junior High. Each district boasts accolades for education and extracurricular excellence. There are numerous private schools nearby as well as the Montgomery campus of the Lone Star College System.
Residents of Woodforest belong to the Woodforest Owners Association, which ensures the community’s pristine beauty is preserved now and as development continues.
