Since opening in 2006, Bridgeland has created a reputation for itself as the leading master planned community in northwest Houston. The development’s thoughtful approaches to conservation, recreation and transportation, known as the ‘Bridgeland Differences,’ have been recognized and honored by well-respected organizations like the National Association of Home Builders, the Texas Association of Builders and the Greater Houston Builders Association.
Before development began, the original land planners conducted an extensive environmental study to find how best to protect, preserve and restore the natural environment within Bridgeland’s boundaries. As a result, developers chose to devote 3,000 acres to open space, providing a place for both residents and wildlife to thrive for generations to come.
Whether they’re relaxing at the 6,000-square-foot activity center, enjoying a stroll along the trails or kayaking on one of the waterways, Bridgeland residents are offered exclusive access to some of the most unique amenities in the northwest Houston area.
Additionally, the community’s full-time Activities Director maintains a calendar chockfull of events, classes and workshops just for those who call Bridgeland home.
More than 35 interest groups and clubs meet on a regular basis in the community, including the Bridgeland Barracudas Swim Team, the Bridgeland Ladies Association, a photography group, a book club and numerous other hobby-specific groups.
Beyond on-site amenities and programming, residents have established a tight-knit community where neighborly involvement is encouraged. Many sections of Bridgeland have block liaisons, specific ‘crime watch’ chairs and informed citizen associations.
